Genuitec and ICEsoft Round Out Enterprise AJAX Development
Integrates ICEfaces framework through MyEclipse 'Community Essentials' program
Nov. 7, 2007 09:45 AM
Genuitec, provider of the MyEclipse integrated development environment and a founding member of the Eclipse Foundation, announced a new partnership with ICEsoft Technologies. ICEsoft is the creator and provider of ICEfaces, an open source framework for simplified development of AJAX-enabled Java EE applications. The integration of ICEfaces with MyEclipse now allows enterprise developers to seamlessly create ICEfaces working code using MyEclipse JSF visual designer.
"This strategic partnership utilizing the ICEfaces functionality will allow us to satisfy the growing demand for AJAX applications," said Wayne Parrott, vice president of product development for Genuitec. "We look forward to working with the ICEfaces team to provide MyEclipse users with the most advanced AJAX IDE capabilities available.
The MyEclipse ICEfaces integration provides developers with the ability to transform a standard JSF project into a rich Web application. By leveraging the ICEfaces framework and the ICEfaces Component Suite, developers can create rich, AJAX-enabled applications without developing a single line of JavaScript. In addition to providing wizards and templates for creation of new ICEfaces JSF applications, the integration also provides support for the MyEclipse Advanced JSF Visual Designer. Developers can drag-and-drop ICEfaces components from the palette to visually lay out Web pages and use the visual designer's property sheets and context menus to configure the components and bind them to backing beans.
