Coach2100 Joins Sun Microsystems Partner Advantage Program for Independent Software Vendors (ISV)

VERO BEACH, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/06/05 -- Coach2100, a leading on-demand software solutions provider, announced today that it has joined the Sun Microsystems Partner Advantage Program for Independent Software Vendors (ISV). This partnership was established to offer Coach2100's products and services to Sun Microsystems Federal, Inc. clients. The Coach2100 system provides a unique, secure, on-demand system for managing and training to manage crucial and critical events in contentious environments for government agencies, law enforcement, military and other sensitive situations where worldwide collaboration, management influence and rapid information dissemination to operational teams is required or desirable.

The Sun Partner Advantage Program for ISVs leverages a simple, flexible architecture with tiered participation that rewards increased partner commitment with greater investment from Sun. The dynamic program delivers a wide array of base-level offerings, which can be supplemented with higher levels of ISV investment, as well as nomination- and technology-based initiatives, helping ISVs to take advantage of Sun's continuing technological advances and innovative business models.

Coach2100 systems provide a proven, affordable, "off-the-shelf" on-demand software solution to the seemingly impossible requirements for secure, real-time, collaborative project and contentious event management.

Operating within a service oriented architecture and the Sun Solaris and Trusted Solaris environments, the Coach2100 systems deliver a full array of role-based access, encrypted data, and a definite structure to build, manage, and control engaged teams widely separated geographically in dynamic, contentious, and urgent events.

"We have seen the pressing need to develop and deliver this kind of system in all areas of homeland security, law enforcement, defense, and intelligence applications," said Barry Sheldon, Sun Microsystems Federal, Inc.'s Strategic Business Development Leader of Homeland Security. "The Coach2100 system developed by Camp and his colleagues to fulfill Camp's business requirements as a negotiation training, coaching and management system has more than 2,000 users and worldwide operational use. Due to its unique architecture and proprietary design, the Coach2100 system can accommodate different requirements and organizational structures unique to the events while delivering the real-time collaborative aspects of team building, and management and operational input by leadership of the engaged organization in a real-time, secure environment."

Additionally, a robust training and one-of-a-kind, event simulation module allow the system to provide its users system oriented and event oriented distance learning to minimize the "ramp up" time required for the user community to gain proficiency with the tool sets in the Coach2100 system.

"Affordability, utility, and security were the essence of the design criteria for Coach2100," said Jim Camp, President of Coach2100. "I wanted to be able to be completely wireless and communicate and coach and manage the in-process negotiations with my clients in real-time. Coach2100 clients are on all continents and often have teams requiring 'right now' input from their management team that may be on a plane or in a car on a different continent. They can easily accomplish that -- and more -- in the Coach2100 system. The business negotiations in our system are worldwide and unfold at a staggering pace across the boundaries of distance and time. We overcome these restrictions and provide the client with both the knowledge about the unfolding event and the ability to influence it with their collaboration as it happens. Sun and Coach2100 recognize that the same kind of problems facing business clients are similar in the homeland security, law enforcement, defense, and intelligence communities, yet these communities have far more crucial operational issues and outcomes."

A key component of the Coach2100 system is its design to incorporate scalability and flexibility in meeting the corporate and governmental operational issues.

"The Coach2100 system incorporates proven architecture and components that are commonly used, but they have put it together in a way that is unique and fulfills most of the requirements we see in the hyper-expensive, difficult to build and deliver systems that have come and gone," said Sheldon. "Coach2100's seven-year track record and astonishing uptime and availability are amazing accomplishments from a small enterprise. The fit to Sun's proven systems and software allows tremendous affordability yet extremely powerful performance in the demanding environments of dynamic team structuring, role-based access, security, and collaboration in the SOA environment."

Coach2100 system fulfills a tremendous void where no other now deployed system operates. "We are able to extend our client manager's input to the operator level in real time. Preparation, execution, and debriefing happen with management's collaboration as these events occur. We can structure the precise team, include the 'need to know' people and get the information in front of the operator right now -- and we have been doing that for the last six or seven years. Hopefully, in our war on terror and extremism we can help do the same for those charged with the defense and security of our nation -- if not the free world. We've built and operated the kind of system that can help in these all important situations and hope that with Sun's help we can extend these benefits to the forces that need these systems," added Camp.
