Information Technology infrastructure is being transformed by virtualization, and today Logicstudio announces the transformation of the service request system. Logicstudio is a leader in providing service and product catalogs to the Federal government through its Logicstudio Enterprise eXchange (LEX) service management system, and the LEX auto-provisioning module allows for an enterprise-facing service catalog to render requested services from the cloud automatically, creating efficiencies that will revolutionize the way large organizations procure, manage and employ technology and technology services.
The service request, approval, and delivery process is a large, complex portion for existing outsourcing contracts, and LEX's evolutionary technology through automation will save significant time and processing costs for outsourcers and service integrators in the future. The Logicstudio cloud and datacenter module consists of configurable service templates that will be processed via LEX's Service Catalog along with its service implementation CMDB and auto-provisioning module which enables Cloud services to be rendered on-demand. The benefit of this capability is that any service provider providing cloud/datacenter management services for commercial or government organizations will be provided with ISP-level self-service capabilities through Logicstudio's software, to both provide the business units a transparent and streamlined way to request cloud/data center resources via an ITIL-aligned Service Catalog within the context of a chargeback structured framework, and have requested services rendered automatically. This will dramatically streamline the service request, approval and delivery process and bring significant improvements in efficiency and cost savings to government and business. The cost-savings and cost-predictability that will come from auto-provisioning of services is especially important as service contracts move towards firm fixed pricing. "In an environment of firm fixed price contracts, our clients and partners are looking to Logicstudio to develop this capability, and we feel that the significant cost-savings and speed of delivery that cloud provisioning will provide, will be a profound discriminator for their outsourcing service offerings. As a software product company, we are excited to be able to provide such a technical advantage to service integrators expecting more from product while investing less," said Mel Landin, the Founder of Logicstudio. As the provider of the enterprise-wide product and service catalog for over 50,000 staff and personnel of NASA since 1999, Logicstudio is excited to bring game-changing technology to NASA -- the Federal vanguard for IT. "We are pleased to bring virtual provisioning to NASA and our other clients. As the bellwether of technology for the Federal government, NASA should be on the cutting edge of cloud computing, and we are proud that our product will help lead that charge and continue to do so for the follow-on I3P Agency Consolidated End-user Services (ACES)," said Henric Jungheim, Logicstudio's Chief Technology Officer. 5th International Cloud Computing & Expo 2010 East Venue Announced The International Cloud Computing Conference & Expo series is the world's leading Cloud-focused event and is held three times a year, in New York, Silicon Valley and in Europe.
