GROUP Business Software AG announced that it will acquire the Atlanta, Ga. based Lotus911. The integration of Lotus911 should be completed by the end of the year. The deal will not only expand the product portfolio of GROUP, but extend its North American presence, adding resources in the Southeast, Midwest and on the West Coast.
“GROUP’s vision is completely synergistic with Lotus911’s mission to deliver the latest innovation and value to customers by leveraging and extending Lotus’ collaboration platform,” said Jim Bracco, General Manager of Lotus911. “The future outlook is incredible -- for us, for GROUP and for our customers.”
With Lotus911, GROUP will cement its position as the leader in the Lotus market, delivering a comprehensive set of business solutions as well as a range of services from custom application development to implementation and integration. Both companies will benefit from the combination of GROUPLive’s offering, a cloud computing solution for IBM Lotus software, with Lotus911’s hosting expertise and capacity.
“This integration is in line with our commitment to the Lotus community,” says Joerg Ott, GROUP CEO and Chairman. “We will have a more comprehensive perspective on the business issues facing Lotus users so we can ensure our clients maximize their Lotus investment.”
