Her 18-year professional accomplishments include managing CommunicationsWeek and CommunicationsWeek International at CMP. During Vanek's eight year tenure at IDG, her circulation strategy played a key role in making Federal Computing Week the lead publication in the government IT market. In 1996 Vanek successfully launched FCW's sister publication, civic.com.
