SYS-CON Media's XMLEdge 2001 International XML Conference & Expo to Host the Annual XML-J Readers' Choice Awards Ceremony
XML-Journal Announces the Winners and Finalists of Its Annual Readers' Choice Awards. They Will Be Recognized at the "XMLEdge 2

Montvale, NJ, March 6, 2001 -- SYS-CON Media (www.sys-con.com) announced today the results of its first annual XML-Journal Readers' Choice Awards poll to select the best XML products in 13 different award categories. More than 5,000 XML-J readers cast their votes to select the best XML products of the year from over 135 nominations. The polls opened on the SYS-CON.com Web site on October 1, 2000 and ran through January 31, 2001.

"Awards are given as a result of SYS-CON Media's unique and patented voting procedure, which is openly tabulated and audited for accuracy by an independent audit firm," commented Ajit Sagar, founding editor and the editor-in-chief of XML-Journal. "The results of the vote distribution could closely simulate the market share and popularity of each product as a result of wide participation by industry professionals who are among XML-Journal readers."

The XML-J Readers' Choice Awards has become the most respected program of its kind in its first year. The listings of 39 finalists and 13 winners can be located at the XMLEdge 2001 web site (http://www.sys-con.com/xmledge/) and in the April issue of XML-J (http://www.sys-con.com/xml/).
