SYS-CON Media Expands Its Conference and Trade Show Business by Forming SYS-CON Events, Inc.
SYS-CON Events Will Continue to Present the World's Leading Java, XML, Linux, ColdFusion and Wireless Developer Conferences and

Montvale, NJ January 24, 2001 - SYS-CON Media announced today the expansion of its developer conference and trade show business by forming SYS-CON Events, Inc. "We centralized the management of our highly successful developer conferences as a fully owned subsidiary of SYS-CON Media," said Fuat Kircaali, founder and CEO of SYS-CON. "Our business relationship with Camelot Communications ended in December 2000. As of January 2001, SYS-CON Events and Camelot Communications will have no affiliation."
SYS-CON Events, Inc. will conduct its next scheduled Steering Committee meeting on January 27 and 28 and will announce its eagerly anticipated 2001 Events Calendar on January 29. "Last year SYS-CON and Java Developer's Journal presented the largest independent Java developer conference of the year and SYS-CON and XML-Journal presented the largest XML developer conference of the year," said Jeremy Geelan, editorial director of SYS-CON Media. "This year, we'll double the attendance and vendor participation of our annual Java and XML developer conferences, we'll also introduce a number of world-class developer conferences serving the Wireless, Linux, and ColdFusion developer communities."
