Cloud Expo Sponsor Amazon Web Services and NetSuite Connect Clouds
New Cloud-to-Cloud Connector SuiteStorage powers integration of NetSuite with Amazon S3

Amazon Web Services Session at Cloud Expo

NetSuite Inc., a provider of cloud computing business management software suites, on Thursday announced a strategic initiative with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a pioneer in cloud computing, to further connect and integrate their respective cloud platforms. Today's announcement features SuiteStorage, a connector built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform to enable easy integration of NetSuite with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Developers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and customers can now build new software applications that leverage NetSuite's tightly integrated cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite and the powerful storage and compute capabilities of Amazon Web Services, offering businesses the significant advantages that are becoming synonymous with world-class cloud computing -- efficiency and flexibility, large productivity gains, and dramatic IT cost reduction.

"We are pleased to see NetSuite extend their model for deploying powerful and agile applications to companies of all sizes around the world," said Terry Wise, Director of Business Development for Amazon Web Services. "With this offering, system integrators, developers, and customers can leverage both NetSuite's ERP offering and Amazon S3's secure, scalable and reliable storage offering."

"Connecting the NetSuite and Amazon clouds demonstrates our commitment to helping our customers reduce their IT infrastructure costs and responsibilities," said Guido Haarmans, Vice President of SuiteCloud Developer Network at NetSuite. "This is another example of how NetSuite customers can gain from an additional and increasing number of efficiencies in their enterprise IT needs."

SuiteStorage Enables Easy and Seamless NetSuite and Amazon S3 Integration
Amazon S3 offers a secure, scalable and low-cost alternative to customers with high-capacity or high-volume storage needs. SuiteStorage, built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform by NetSuite's SuiteCloud partner Celigo, enables the integration of Amazon S3 storage with the NetSuite cloud computing platform. SuiteStorage gives NetSuite customers an integrated user interface for storing and retrieving files from Amazon S3, which can boost performance of large or data-intensive companies while maintaining relational integrity with the NetSuite database and delivering the efficiencies of cloud computing.

Customers can start using the service simply by signing up for Amazon S3, installing SuiteStorage and entering their Amazon user information within a NetSuite configuration panel. The solution runs entirely within NetSuite.

"Our Amazon S3-based storage solution extends the benefits of AWS for NetSuite customers," said Jan Arendtsz, CEO of Celigo. "AWS is a trusted leader in cloud computing and we're delighted to provide a connector between these two clouds."

NetSuite and Amazon Web Services Integration
GoodData, winner of the 2009 Amazon Web Services Start-Up Challenge, has also already successfully built and deployed an on-demand reporting and analytics service on the SuiteCloud development platform linking NetSuite with Amazon Web Services. GoodData for NetSuite enables NetSuite users to analyze ERP and CRM data across the entire suite, thereby delivering additional benefits of cloud economics, scalability and elasticity directly to businesses.

"Our customers tell us loud and clear they want GoodData analytics for all of their business data," said Roman Stanek, Founder and CEO of GoodData. "It's great that NetSuite and AWS are working closely to make this so easy - it's a win for everyone."

NetSuite's usage of Amazon Web Services is another milestone for NetSuite business management software suites. Gartner Dataquest recently released figures showing that NetSuite has joined the ranks of North America's top 10 ERP vendors by revenue. Strategic advisory service ISM Inc. recognized NetSuite and NetSuite CRM with a Top 15 CRM Small & Medium Business Software Award for 2009. Customer Interaction Solutions magazine named NetSuite CRM as a recipient of a 2009 CRM Excellence Award. Most recently, British businesses named NetSuite the top Enterprise Accounting Software vendor in Sift Media's Software Satisfaction Awards 2009. These awards validate and reinforce NetSuite's mounting importance to companies of all sizes looking for a powerful, integrated enterprise management solution.
