The newly expanded systems address the need for high-availability storage in post production and broadcast workflows. The 32TB VTrak E-Class, when combined with the 32TB VTrak expansion chassis, is aggressively priced at only 56 cents/GB* and utilizes the same 3U form factor as previous systems, thereby preserving rack space. Additionally, up to 160TB is supported in non A/V environments at a cost of 52 cents/GB*.

Utilizing industry leading enterprise-class 2TB drives, the 32TB VTrak systems have been tested and qualified using the same rigorous standards as PROMISE adheres to for all its RAID products. Fully qualified for Mac OS X, Xsan and Final Cut Pro environments, the 32TB VTrak increases workflow productivity when used in Xsan and Final Cut environments. It does this by delivering the capacity and performance to meet the needs of new HD codecs. PROMISE's strenuous test cycles for Mac OS X, coupled with the company's tight working relationship with its partners, is benefiting Mac users' enterprise storage needs.

Pricing and Availability
The 32TB VTrak is currently available for purchase directly though Apple or Apple Authorized resellers. The VTrak E-Class 16x SATA RAID subsystem is offered at $18,999 SRP or 59 cents/GB. The VTrak 16x SATA expansion chassis is offered at $15,999 SRP. Up to 160TB is supported at a cost of 52 cents/GB.
