Previously, AppZero was dubbed "Best Business Application" by Computerworld, a Demo show favorite by PCWorld and eWeek as well as "Best of Demo" by Next Big Thing blogger Don Dodge. AppZero has recently been named one of the "20 Coolest Cloud Computing Infrastructure Vendors" by CRN, as well as a "Top 25 Cloud Services Provider" by Virtualization Journal, and a "Top 7 Cloud Computing Acquisition Target" by Datamation.

Poised to ship a new version this month that will feature support for new operating platforms, application services and new tools for even easier application mobility, AppZero shipped its initial product in March 2009, providing the first opportunity for enterprise applications, middleware and database systems such as those from IBM, SAP, Microsoft and Oracle to benefit from the promise of virtualization and virtual appliances for reducing software deployment complexity and cost. With AppZero, these server-based applications could, for the first time, be easily turned into VAAs and run wherever practical and cost effective for the enterprise. Significant savings in application lifecycle, operating systems licenses and huge reduction in application supporting infrastructure such as management and anti-virus have been achieved by decoupling applications from the operating system.

As other vendors join the market for server application automation and deployment, AppZero is accelerating innovation and product expansion. In addition to AppZero 4.5, due this month, AppZero recently launched AppZero for SAP, designed to reduce SAP application and suite installation time from days to less than 15 minutes for instantaneous deployment across physical and virtual servers and to cloud computing environments.

AppZero is also growing its partner base. Among AppZero's technology partners are leading cloud computing infrastructure providers including GoGrid, where AppZero teams to make it easy for large enterprises to provision applications between internal and public clouds - a "hybrid" model popular among organizations getting started in the cloud. AppZero is a charter partner in Amazon's (AMZN) AWS Solution Provider Program, alongside industry leaders such as CA, Citrix, IBM and Oracle.

AppZero channel partners include VARs and solution providers using AppZero install, upgrade, patch and migrate enterprise applications as well as for movement to the cloud.
