vSphere Essentials targets sites with less than 20 physical servers

Faced with competing against Microsoft's theoretically free virtualization, VMware Thursday cut the $995 list price of its entry-level vSphere Essentials package in half to $495 until June 15 in an appeal to small businesses. vSphere Essentials targets sites with less than 20 physical servers and lacks such things VMotion live migration of virtual machines or support. Users can virtualize three physical servers to consolidate and manage applications in the name of reducing hardware and operating costs. Register Today and Save $550 !
